Hi, I'm Nichola — the person behind the prints 👋

Like it was for a lot of people, the Covid years were a strange time for me. Life suddenly slowed down. We were stuck at home, there was far too much time to think... and one random thought one evening turned into a printer arriving the very next day.

The idea? Pet portrait prints.

I had absolutely no idea where that little idea was going to take me.

Those first prints were, looking back, really not very good 😂 At the time, though, I thought they were the bee's knees! I was ridiculously proud of them.

And that's really where Jazzy Kestrel began.

From one printer to a small business ❤️

Over the years I've learned sooooo much.

The designs got better. The printing got better. I learned about papers, inks, colours, packaging, websites, photography, customer service, marketing — and all the other things you suddenly discover you need to know when you run a small business!

There have definitely been plenty of challenges along the way (and there still are!), but I genuinely love what Jazzy Kestrel has grown into.

My family has grown alongside the business too, so life behind the scenes is usually busy, slightly chaotic and rarely quiet!

But amongst all of that, I'm still here designing, printing and packing your orders.

Prints with personality

I've never wanted Jazzy Kestrel to be about mass-produced wall art.

I love creating prints that mean something to the person receiving them — whether that's a personalised football print for someone's favourite team colours, a portrait of a much-loved pet, a memorial piece, song lyrics that bring back a memory, or simply a colourful piece of artwork that makes you smile when you walk into a room.

The collection has grown enormously since those first pet portraits, and I'm constantly coming up with new ideas (usually when I should probably be sleeping!).

Jazzy Kestrel is a genuinely small business.

Your order isn't disappearing into a huge warehouse somewhere. I design the artwork, print it, check it and package it ready to make its way to you.

Personalised orders get that extra bit of attention because I know they're often being bought for birthdays, new babies, anniversaries, memorials and other moments that really matter.

And I never forget that behind every order number is an actual person who has chosen to spend their money with my little business.
